Another creative endeavor I embarked on over the spring was a gift for Jessica's birthday. I had taken a very cute picture of Annabelle when we all got together in April so I wanted to make a frame of sorts for her to hang. I had so much fun doing this one... soft colors with a little punch!
I started with a big chipboard heart from Making Memories. I covered the heart with papers from Anna Griffin- her designs will always be one of my favorite for their simple beauty! Behind the picture I cut a 'child's rhyme' from a patterned paper by Rusty Pickle and inked up the edges for a distressed look. The bird on the left is cut from an Anna Griffin paper. Along the bottom of the picture I used some crepe paper ribbon that Birds of a Feather created especially for a Jenni Bowlin kit earlier in the year. Over that I used some prima flowers and velvet leaves by Anna Griffin. Of course to hang it I had to use some fibers and a simple pink satin ribbon.
The word I got was that Annabelle loves to look at the picture! She is just such a sweet little girl!
