It hasn't been ALL garden for the past few months, but mostly. I got to my craft table yesterday afternoon and really enjoyed being there. Need to make more time for that. Below are some of the projects that I managed to pull together in April. I do love giving people one of my creations!
In early April we did a baby shower for the assistant at KDSA, Julie. I got to surprise her by going in for it! I put together a cute basket of little clothes and then a small album for her to put some pictures of the baby and the family. I made a card using one of the outline stamps - I love those things! The options of decorating are endless.
Of course for Easter I had to bring a little gift for my goddaughter, Annabelle! She also turned 6 months that weekend so I gave her a new little outfit. I purchased a white bag to house the gift in. The bunny is grungeboardthat I inked and stickled. I bought a pack of glitter paper from Target - this is the best buy! You get 8 sheets of paper for minimal cost. I used a border punch to decorate and added some rick rack. Finally I made a little wand with flowers and glitter!
As mentioned in a previous post, my cousin Riley got married in May. We had the shower as planned at the end of April where she was loaded down with lots of goodies! This is the card that I made to go with the wedding gift that my family got for her. The really nice thing about the shower was that everyone went above and beyond to more or less make this like their wedding with incredible gifts. I am happy that they were able to receive all that did (including a wine cooler from her best friends!)
For the card I used some Anna Griffin papers and an older Stampin Up wedding set that I have always loved. The design comes from something I saw at my favorite shop - Absolutely Everything. I love how the corners on the bottom frame the sentiment.
To the right are some fun tags that I made to go on the gift. I used the Maya Road formal/ wedding key-chain set - I love these things. Because they were going to St John to get married, I wanted to do a Caribbean theme. The paper is from a 2008 Scenic Route pack. For the hearts I cut out one of the tags from the Cosmo Cricket EverAfter Elements sheet and shaped it to the hearts (using my handy Basic Grey file set!)
There are a few more creative tasks that I fulfilled in May! One was designing a book for one of our local scrapbook stores, which I just loved doing! I will post those very soon.
